What the research record contains
A complete record contains research files, research data, and research logs. AI tool usage, research emails, and research web search history are recorded in a tamper-resistant manner. The record is designed to be as comprehensive as possible for proving authorship and priority in research.
Overview
WorkSigned generates research records using a unified approach. This addresses the structural complexity of projects - many contain different data sources and types. WorkSigned is fully extensible and capable of including additional file or data formats.
Research files
WorkSigned supports regular text files, office document formats such as pdf, docx, pptx, and xlsx, and publishing formats like LaTex. Files include notes, drafts, presentation materials, conference materials, publications, and anything else that supported the process of creating the final result.
Research data
WorkSigned supports detecting and signing data stored in special files or databases. Unlike traditional electronic lab notebooks (ELNs), WorkSigned works with existing local and cloud data stores.
Research logs
There is no universal standard for research logs. WorkSigned supports logs stored as files or databases.
AI tool usage
Connect WorkSigned to any AI provider (standard OpenAI protocol), and sign all conversations into the research record. Signed AI conversations are tamper resistant - they are signed before arriving at the researcher's machine.
Research emails
Emails are important adjunctive documents that show thought processes and relative contributions of each researcher. Signed emails are tamper resistant.
Web search history
Research related web searches are documented to show how key pieces of information were gathered and how research ideas were explored. Web search history is tamper resistant.
